First read and observe the introductory information
and safety warnings
When the tailgate is opened and closed, the luggage compartment cover is also
raised and lowered if the straps are attached.
Light items of clothing can be stowed on the luggage compartment cover. Please
ensure that the view to the rear of the vehicle is not obstructed.
Removing the luggage compartment cover
- Unhook the supporting straps from the tailgate (upper arrows).
- Pull the luggage compartment cover out of the side retainers towards the
rear (lower arrows).
Stowing the luggage compartment cover
- Turn the luggage compartment cover around until the edge with the straps
is at the front.
- Release the rear seat backrest and fold it forwards slightly.
- Push the luggage compartment cover between the rear seat backrest and the
outer wheel housing trims.
- Hook the luggage compartment cover onto the side retainers and push it forwards
(arrows).
- Fold the rear seat backrest backwards until it engages in the catches.
Fitting the luggage compartment cover
- Push the luggage compartment cover forwards into the side retainers (lower
arrows).
- Hook the supporting straps onto the tailgate (upper arrows).

WARNING
Objects that are not secured or are secured incorrectly, or animals on the luggage
compartment cover, could cause serious injuries in any sudden driving or braking
manoeuvre or accident.
- Do not stow any hard, heavy or sharp items either loose or in bags on the
luggage compartment cover.
- Never transport pets on the luggage compartment cover.

NOTICE
To avoid damage to the luggage compartment cover:
- Always ensure that the luggage compartment cover is fitted securely in the
side retainers.
- The luggage compartment should only be filled so that the luggage compartment
cover does not push down on the load when the tailgate is closed.
